RuterBillett 6.14.14

Ruter's mobile app allows passengers to conveniently purchase tickets in advance for travel on the Metro, buses, trams, ferries, and trains in Oslo and Akershus.

The RuterBillett app requests access to several functions on your phone:

• Read phone status and identity: This permission is used to protect your ticket from counterfeiting by linking it to your phone's unique ID. RuterBillett does not have access to make phone calls.
• Access precise location (GPS and network-based): This permission is utilized when purchasing tickets to automatically suggest a ticket based on your current location. Even if the location function is turned off, you can still manually enter the stop or station for which the ticket will apply.
• Receive data from internet: This permission enables communication with Ruter's ticketing system for purchasing and downloading tickets to your mobile device.
• View network connections: This permission allows for immediate receipt of error messages in case of network disruptions, ensuring prompt customer notification.
• Run from start-up/Autostart from start-up: This permission is necessary to send notifications when tickets and payment cards are about to expire.
• Prevent the phone from sleeping: This permission ensures a continuous and secure connection between your phone and Ruter's ticketing system.
• Control of vibration function/vibrator: This permission enables vibration notifications for important app updates.
• Read synchronization settings: This permission allows automatic updates of period tickets with control codes and current information.
• Use fingerprint hardware: This permission allows you to use your fingerprint as an alternative to a password for authentication.
• Read your contacts: This permission is used when sending tickets to phone numbers stored in your contacts list.
• Control near field communication: This permission is necessary for reading the content of a travel card when applicable.

If you wish to restrict access, you can do so by adjusting the app settings on your phone's "Settings" page.
